Team Beachbody® Canada – Canada Launch - What You Need to Know
 
Coaches,
We're delighted to announce the launch of Team Beachbody Canada. We've put together a list of critical information to help. Please thoroughly review all the items below, and if you have additional questions, please check the specific FAQ link next to each topic.

Remember, this launch affects ALL Coaches and many customers so please pay close attention to the important updates below.
 
1 CANADIAN COACHES MUST AGREE TO TEAM BEACHBODY CANADA TERMS & CONDITIONS AND POLICIES & PROCEDURES
 
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
All Coaches residing in Canada must agree to the official Team Beachbody Canada terms & conditions and policies & procedures.

WHAT YOU NEED TO DO (MANDATORY):
Starting August 28, 2014, if you are a Coach residing in Canada, please log into TeamBeachbody.com to agree to the Team Beachbody Canada's Terms & Conditions. Existing Coaches must agree within 30 days of the launch. If the terms have not been agreed to within 30 days, Team Beachbody will withhold any earnings until the agreement is received.

2 CANADIAN COACHES MUST SUBMIT A COMPLETED
W-8BEN FORM
 
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
Team Beachbody is required to collect a W-8BEN form from all Coaches in Canada. Existing Coaches will have 30 days from launch to submit the form, and new Coaches will have 30 days from their enrollment date to submit the form. If a form is not received after the 30-day period, Beachbody will be required to withhold payment of any earnings until the W-8BEN form is received.

3 DIRECT SELLERS LICENSE
 
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
If you live in the following provinces: New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Manitoba, Prince Edward Island, the Northwest Territories, or Nunavut, you will be required to submit a direct sellers application. Existing Coaches will have 30 days from launch and new Coaches will have 30 days from their enrollment date to submit their application. Please be aware that if your form is not received after the 30-day period, Beachbody will be required to withhold payment of any earnings until the required paperwork is received.

WHAT YOU NEED TO DO (MANDATORY):
Visit FAQ 2219 to find your providence and the specific steps required to acquire your Direct Sellers License. Please remember that this applies only to Coaches who reside in the provinces or territories listed about (also listed in FAQ 2219).
 
4 CANADIAN EARNINGS WILL BE PAID VIA ELECTRONIC FUND TRANSFER (EFT)
 
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
All earnings will be paid via electronic fund transfer to Coaches in Canada, and all earnings will be paid in Canadian dollars (CAD). All Canadian Coaches must update their EFT setting before August 28, 2014 to ensure that they will receive their commission checks after Team Beachbody launches into Canada on August 28, 2014. If your EFT setting is not updated prior to launch, Beachbody will be required to withhold payment of any earnings until EFT setting is updated.

WHAT YOU NEED TO DO (MANDATORY):
Please update your EFT setting in the Coach Online Office anytime before August 28, 2014. To update your setting, go to the Coach Online Office > My Business > My EFT Management > Bonus Payout Method > [select 'Canada EFT' from the drop down menu]. Follow remaining prompts, enter all required information and select 'Save.' For more information on EFT, visit FAQ 9834.
 
5 NEW 'BONUS POINT' TERM WILL BE INTRODUCED ON AUGUST 28, 2014
 
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
To prepare for Team Beachbody's internationalization, we are introducing a new term - 'Bonus Points', which will be implemented starting August 28, 2014. Bonus points are merely a universal currency that reflects the amount of bonuses and commissions earned by a Coach. Bonus points are then converted via an established exchange rate to local currency before they are paid out.

6 COACHES CAN HAVE CUSTOMERS IN BOTH THE U.S. AND CANADA—BUT CANNOT SHIP PRODUCT OUTSIDE OF THEIR COUNTRY OF RESIDENCE
 
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
Effective August 28, 2014, Team Beachbody Canada will be its own company doing business in Canada—and International shipping will no longer be available from the U.S. to Canada. And vice versa. Due to tax and regulatory issues, Coaches will no longer be able to ship outside their country of residence. However, U.S. customers of Canadian Coaches will be able to purchase directly from the TeamBeachbody.com website, and Canadian Coaches will get credit for those orders.

All Coaches will only be able to ship within their country of residence (according to their official billing address/country.)

7 SOME DIFFERENCES BETWEEN THE CANADIAN PRODUCT CATALOG AND U.S. PRODUCT CATALOG
 
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
While all major fitness products will be available, not every supplement will be available at launch since products have to be formally registered by the Canadian government before they go on sale. Most flavors of Shakeology are available. Other products like Ultimate Reset® and 3-Day Refresh have not been formally approved to date, and will likely be introduced to the market at a later date.

WHAT YOU NEED TO DO:
Please review FAQ 1268 for a list of products and supplements that will be available in the Canada product catalog.
 
8 UPDATE TO CURRENT SUPPLEMENT AUTOSHIPS IN CANADA
 
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
Starting August 28, 2014 all Canadian Coaches and customers who currently have a Home Direct (HD) for any U.S. supplement will begin to receive the Canadian approved equivalent of that product. These orders will now be processed through Team Beachbody Canada and will be priced in CAD (Canadian dollars).

If a Coach or customer is on HD for a product that is not available in Canada, these HD profiles will no longer be shipped. Team Beachbody will notify these Coaches and customers that their product is no longer available and provide instructions on how to update their HD orders.

Please be advised that a Home Direct order modification, delay, or cancellation may impact your active status, rank, and qualifications for contests and promotions such as Success Club and Lead Programs.

9 $5 HANDLING FEE WILL BE APPLIED TO CANADA SHIPMENTS
 
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
As a cost of doing business internationally, a flat $5 CAD handling fee will be applied to every shipment sent to Canada. Coaches and customers who are on HD will be informed of the change at least 30 days prior of their shipment.

10 UPDATE ON CANADA SALES TAX
 
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
Beginning, August 28, 2014, Team Beachbody Canada will assess all applicable Canadian sales taxes on all products, including non-shippable products such as the Business Service Fee (BSF) and Team Beachbody Club Membership, purchased by Canadian Coaches and Canadian customers.

In Canada, all Coach orders will be taxed at the Coach price. If a Coach resells this product to a customer, they will be liable to collect any associated taxes at the retail level, and if required, submit to the local authorities.

11 GIFT CARDS WILL BE DISCONTINUED IN CANADA
 
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
Effective August 28, 2014, Team Beachbody gift cards will no longer be sold by Team Beachbody Canada.

WHAT YOU NEED TO DO:
If you have a Team Beachbody gift card and live in Canada, please use your gift card before August 28, 2014
